I will never understand why people are so ashamed of reading. No one ever wants to talk about books or knowledge because it’s “not cool”. I think it’s incredibly disappointing to talk to someone who is a pre-teen and they won’t ever mention books or reading. I wish people would realize that being “cool” isn’t all that matters and those tweets and text message don’t actually count for anything. Open a book, see the world from a new pair of eyes.
