And the sun shone upon us from distant lands. We were beside ourselves in ecstasy, clutching onto the changing air before us. You were far away, yet close by, and I can hear your every breath fall and echo in the cold silent box. We were together.
You and I. Alone.
The sun shone upon us and we fell through the rabbit hole of epic storytelling- running on thin ice, collapsing and drowning in cold sea water- yet not dying. Just breathless with pride, we survived!
The colours dancing in the wind – you can’t see it if you don’t free yourself and your mind- the howls, the rustling, the cheers of rugged pirates and barbarians, hear them, hear ‘em! Hold still! There be danger if you don’t. Calm down and collect yourself-
We must dash through the mountains and watch the red sky bleed around us. We must travel, we must fly. Hurry, we must gallop across lands in search for the heroes in us. We must forget ourselves, we must forgive ourselves, We must dwell in the personalities of someone else.
I will find your hero charming and whistle a call for you, and save you from hacking enemies by felling monsters, I will flirt with your eyes and dance with swords, I will take the role that supports your cause.
And we will be together, I promise you, and when the time comes, we will ride to war together.
We will, we must, watch the triumphant sunset of victorious aftermaths, and we will walk out together, breathless, exhilarated, experiencing something only you and I know, only you and I share, only you and I care about.
